Getting to Know Big Cece

Big Cece, also known as Cece this record is lit, is a 28-year-old music producer, Finance nerd, songwriter, and former independent A&R. Born in a small village in Nigeria and naturalized in the United States, Cece grew up in the Bronx, New York. From grade school, she showed a passion for music, poetry, and creative writing, which eventually led her to pursue acareer in the music industry.

Background

Growing up, Cece excelled academically and attended specialized schools that allowed her to focus on her passions, including sports, arts, math, writing, and physics. She became well-known for her creative writing and even published books and poetry at a young age. Despite societal expectations of her becoming a doctor, Cece studied business and leverage that to pursuing her dream of becoming a music and creative producer.

Career Highlights

Received formal training in dance (Jazz, Afrobeat, hip-hop) and played competitive basketball. She participated in theater productions as an actor and ideator.

She closed her first music deal through a joint partnership with cap connect an angel investor and 2017 which funded the release of "If Not Me Then Who" her first debut album with over a million digital streams.

She utilized her ecosystem since 2013, including lareg concerts and events, fashion shows, merch sales, and financial programs, to reach her fans and community.

Began producing beats and music offi cially in late 2016 using older DAW recording systems.

Started assembling her producer album "INMTW" in 2018, inspired by Capella Grey.

Released the full project in 2021, garnering major placements from artists like K Camp, Yung Tory, Minz, Bella Shmurda, and contributing to the breakout of artists such as Capella Grey, Amber Simone, Miriam Sintim, and more.

Orchestrated cross-partnership activations including global tours, country-wide college tours, large concert bookings, and national syndicated radio tours, collaborating with talents like Fireboy, Asake, and Joeboy.
